Crossing the Line
I'm at work..minding my beezewax..working..and I get an email..from someone I don't recognize..and it's to my work email address.
He uses my real first name..and it says:
"Hey _____." It's me from Grindr. When are you free?"
I'm confused. I don't know who this is. I never, ever (that I remember) use my work email for extra-curricular activities. No one would email me there. What do I do? Answer the email? Play dumb? Ignore it?
I chose option #3..ignore. Maybe it's someone I confided in...gave them my real name and occupation. I suppose..in the web-based world, it's pretty easy to find someone out there if you know a few important facts about them.
I'm still a little freaked though.

Either that, or you accidentally used you work e-mail address for something you shouldn't have.
Do not respond in any way what so ever. Let them think that the email just went to some spam filter, or is a dead address.
From the email address that you see, try to correlate that with the email address that you have received or responded to in your private email, and then proceed to block or ignore that person.
The most important thing is to not respond or acknowledge that the email was received.
paranoia paranoia see how it gets worse?
oh, so sexy!!!
this would bother me a lot- thinking about the anonymous sender.
But there is one thing I would like to know-you seem to be constantly chatting or dating-how do you find the time???
No one at home complaining???
take care and never reveal your real email-or chat less....
Keep us informed-love your blog
I seems like karma is catching up with you. It always does. You don’t deceive the people who has devoted the entire life and not eventually get exposed for the fraud that you are. This is just the beginning. Wait for it.
It's hard not to say something about the deceptive game you've been playing. We all want to come out on our own terms, but we play this dangerous game until we finally decide the time is right, or we get caught. Getting caught is not an option, if only because you can cause more damage.
It's such a cliche, but the truth will set you free. It might not change those people's feelings towards you, but then it becomes their problem and not yours.
But that's just my opinion. :-)
Ok I would be more than a little weirded out. About a month ago, some unknown guy showed up on my contacts in my personal email. No pic, no name that I recognized. Could be a friend of a friend I said, so I accepted. He said he had a gf but then offers to meet me for m2m nsa sex.
I'm like... ''I don't even know you''. No photo, no id... hell this could be my wife testing me!!
I mean, I NEVER use my personal email for my online extra-curricular activities. That's what aliases are for, and they're easy to come by. So I was cool and distant with this guy who refuses to show me a photo but would still like to meet me.
So anyhow... I get what you're going through. Though I'll admit, I'd have been even more freaked out had I recieved such a message at my email box at work!!!
Anyhow.. play it cool, I'd ignore him and let it fly. Take care dude.
