Hump Day: Brett Mycles aka Robert Sager
Brett Mycles (real name Robert Sager) (December 2, 1977 - February 2007), was an American male pornographic actor. He starred in several pornographic movies and posed in several gay porn magazines. He worked in gay pornography, but his "attitude" was very much "straight-acting". His actual sexual orientation is Bisexual. In a 2005 interview, he said that he recently married his high school sweetheart who he first met when he was 19 and she was 17.
He was born in Houston, Texas, moved to Ohio and resided in the Los Angeles area. At 22, while in Ohio, he entered an Arnold Classic bodybuilding contest where he was spotted by photographer Irvin Gelb.
In addition to being a "porn star" and nude model, he also was a pre-law student, nude wrestler, fitness model, and personal trainer.
Sager was found dead in his appartment over the last weekend of February 2007, aged 29. Apparently he died in his sleep of congestive heart failure.

Guys who are anywhere near as fit as Sager simply do not die from "congestive heart failure" at age 29. CHF usually involves a compromised renal system in addition to some cardiac deficiency that causes the lungs to fill with fluid. Those who abuse their kidneys, heart and lungs in their 20s may have problems in their 60s and 70s, but not immediately.
Further, Robert Sager doesn't remotely fit the template for Marfan's Syndrome, which can compromise the cardiovascular system and is occasionally fatal in young men.
There HAS to be more to this story.

I had a friend who died at age 33 from what I was told at the time was a "heart attack." He wasn't in nearly as good shape as Sager, but he had still been in good health the last time I had seen him, except for some back pain. So I wondered. Many years later I learned that the real cause of death had been suicide. It was an intentional drug overdose that caused his heart to stop beating -- hence the faux cause of death.
Whatever the cause, Sager's untimely death is a huge loss.
I was shocked when I first heard about Rob-Brett's death...he had a great on-camera persona, and always seemed to be a nice guy...yes, a huge loss.

thanks for the informative comment. I used to train to Brett Mycle's pis (motivation) and was stunned to learn of his death years after the fact.
Actually Robert Sager, aka Brett Mycles died of a cardiomyopathy brought about by years of use of anabolic steroids (testosterone)which he injected daily to bulk up. Cardiomyopathy is a weakness of the heart muscle wherein it fails as a pump resulting in congestive heart failure (back up of blood and consequently fluid into the lungs - "drowning"). This information is readily available on a memorial page you can Google. It is sad to lose any person through such foolish. I have a friend who keeps bugging me to prescribe these meds (I am an MD)for this purpose. BTW - you do not get such bulky pectorals like his or others other than by 4-6 hrs. in gym daily or using steroids. To those tempted to use them...Brett's or Robert's tragic death should serve as a warning.
